Terms of Service
Last updated 24 September 2026
These terms apply when you use this website or ask Optilis Electrical Services Pty Ltd ("Optilis", "we", "us") to quote for work. Any job we carry out is also governed by your written quote. Where the two differ, your written quote applies.
Using this website
Information on this website is general. It isn’t advice about your specific property or electrical installation. Only a licensed electrician who has inspected your site can tell you what’s needed. Prices, products and specifications mentioned on the site may change without notice.
Enquiries and response times
We aim to respond to enquiries the same day during business hours (Monday to Friday, 7am to 5pm). Enquiries sent outside those hours are answered the next business day.
If you have an electrical emergency, such as sparking, a burning smell, or a fault you can’t isolate, don’t use the form. Call us on 0448 375 150. If there’s immediate danger to life or property, call 000 first.
Quotes and the service call fee
- On-site quotes carry a $100 service call fee (including GST). We’ll confirm this with you before we visit.
- If you accept the quote and we carry out the work, the $100 is credited in full against your invoice.
- If you don’t go ahead, the $100 covers our time and travel to assess the job and is not refundable.
- Every quote is in writing, and we don’t start work until you’ve accepted it. Quotes are valid for 30 days unless the quote states otherwise.
- If we find something during the job that wasn’t visible when we quoted, such as hidden damage or non-compliant existing wiring, we’ll explain it and agree any extra cost with you before continuing.
Emergency callouts
Emergency and after-hours callouts are charged at our after-hours rates. We’ll tell you the callout charge when you call, before we attend.
Payment
Payment terms, including any deposit, are set out in your written quote and invoice. For solar, battery and larger jobs, equipment may need to be ordered in advance, and a deposit may be required to secure it.
Warranties and your rights
Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in these terms limits those rights. Manufacturer warranties on products such as batteries, inverters and panels are provided by the manufacturer, and we’ll help you register and claim on them.
All prescribed electrical work is carried out by licensed electricians, and we issue a Certificate of Compliance for Electrical Work (CCEW) where required.
Rebates and savings
Any rebates, incentives or energy savings we mention are estimates based on current programs and typical usage. Eligibility and amounts are set by government and scheme rules, which can change, and your actual savings depend on your usage and energy plan.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, and apart from your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of this website. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.
Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. The version on this page when you request a quote is the one that applies to that quote.
